Wordless Wednesday Driving Harnesses and Carriages

For those of you interested in tack (and also for personal, future, use) I took a few pictures of the tack and carriages from the driving class at Falsterbo Horse Show.

The next post will be the last of the Falsterbo Horse Show posts and will show you some pictures of the obstacles in some of the jumping classes but also the obstacles from the driving class.

Wordless Wednesday Driving

This year there was a new addition to the Wednesday program. Cross country driving. I've never seen a driving competition live although I've tried driving horses myself and it's a lot of fun so I was looking forward to see the horses.

There were only 5 entries in this class and colourwise it was quite varied, two chestnuts, one bay, one grey and one dark bay. 4 of the entered horses were warmbloods and one was a riding pony.

The pony was quite fast.

And maneuvered the obstacles really well.

The bay was really fast.

This chestnut probably was my favourite of the day, such a beauty!

And the carriage had pink details!
Next post will give you some closer pictures of the tack and carriages from the driving class.

Wordless Wednesday Dressage

The second post from Falsterbo Horse Show. I didn't see a whole lot of dressage as it was raining quite a lot. This year they had changed the program a bit, so instead of dressage for 6 year old horses it was pony kür. I only watched them in the warm-up ring as we were going back to the jumping arena.

There were a few more colours than bay and grey at the dressage arena, for example this chestnut.
Or this really golden palomino.

He had a really nice colour!

This horse was not competing at the day.
Next up will be driving!

Wordless Wednesday Jumping

This is my first post of pictures (and also the biggest) from Falsterbo Horse Show. I will post all these picture posts as "wordless Wednesday" posts.

The pictures in today's post are from the 2 jumping classes we saw and the combined jumping/cross country class.

Unfortunately it was raining pretty much the entire day so pictures are not the best but I've decided to share some of my favourites.

Most horses in the jumping classes were bay or grey.

Yay, a chestnut!

Nope, not jumping that water!
If I remember correctly this pair unfortunately got eliminated on the water obstacle.

Nope, not jumping that...

But second try was better!

I loved the facial marking of this guy!

This horse looked so sweet.

It looked like a close call but the horse slid over the obstacle, landed almost like after a normal jump, and continued on like nothing had happened.

The award ceremony with all the applauding people was a bit frightening for this horse.

Another chestnut!
Dapples!

Another "Nope, not jumping".

Another really sweet horse!

I really liked this grey!

Happy winner!
Next week, dressage.
