Another project

I was a bit too fast posting pictures of my projects yesterday. Because a few hours after posting I started another project.

Or technically, I restarted my project. I started my first attempt at a sculpture several months ago. I made an armature (which in hind sight was quite terrible) bulked it up with some aluminum foil, put on some sculpey clay and baked it in the oven. Unfortunately (or fortunately maybe?) I was too quick when I read the instructions and turned up my oven to the temperature the package stated. A few minutes later I realized my mistake and my sculpture had pretty much turned into a black lump with wires sticking out of it. When I turned the degrees up on my oven I read the Fahrenheit temperature and since we use Celsius it went WAY to hot for the clay. No harm was done except to the sculpture, which was deemed not salvageable.

So yesterday a started a new armature. I need some more supplies before I can continue on with the sculpture but I am so much happier with this armature than the last one so hopefully I'll actually be able to do some sculpting in the next couple of days.

I won't give any details to what breed, gender and alike it will be just yet as I'm not sure I will actually get there 😊

    1. Thank you, hopefully it'll at least look like a HSO when I'm done!

  2. Thank you for sharing this, I don't have any idea that a simple wire can be use in sculpture supply materials and can made a nice project.
