Liveshow Report Part 1: Halter

Last weekend it was time for another show. This time it was a smaller show with 8 entrants in the halter show but only four was at the show in person (the rest had sent models for proxyshowing). That doesn't mean that the competition was any less than on a bigger show.

The show started out with the foal championship which was quite big. Both of my foals did very good taking first in their respective classes. Competition was tough but my trusty R. Peppermint managed to claim the Champion title with an absolutely adorable Rosita resin as reserve.

Champion Foal: R. Peppermint, PS Weanling cm S. Nordström
Champion Foal Reserve: Lallybroch Janet, Eberl Rosita rep. M. Berg
Next up was Arabians and it was another competitive championship. My dear Athame (AA Sabiha ret.) managed to take second in her class and Farasha (Tr. Weather Girl Thunderstorm OF) took third. The winner of the championship was a beautiful customized mini Nahar with a gorgeous Swaps custom as reserve.

Champion Arabian Reserve (left): Ahvaz Fateh, Breyer Swaps cm S. Nordström
Drafthorses were up after the Arabians and I had two to show. Both of them did great taking first in their respective classes. Ayers Rock Brigadör then surprised me and went on to claim the champion title! The reserve is another one I really like, a fjordhorse made from the Aidan resin which looks a lot like my fjordhorse gelding frolicking in the field.

Champion Drafthorse: Ayers Rock Brigadör, MM Brigadier rep. A. Gustafsson
Champion Drafthorse Reserve: Boyen, Aidan cm S. Nordström
It wasn't quite my day in the sporthorse championship this day. My horses did good but not great. Chester VS (Caitano rep. S. Nordström) and Belize (Genoveva rep. S. Nordström) took second and third in their class. Fandango (Tr. Valegro OF) took third in his class. Bailando (Sm. G2 Andalusian rr by me) took fourth out of four in his class. My thoroughbreds did a bit better. Fallen Hero (Valor rep. N. Söhn) took first, Sunny Side N (Tr. Seattle Slew OF) took third and Lost All Hope (Kitty Didit rep. L. Lawrynovicz) took fifth out of five in their class.

My other sporthorses didn't do too well. Elessar (Copperfox Finnegan OF) took second, Lord (Keltic Salinero OF) took third, Vivaldi (Tr. Acadia OF) took fourth and Imperia (Sidesaddle Strapless OF) took fifth out of five.

Anyway the champion was a very worthy, beautifully painted Firenze resin and the reserve was a really nice custom on the breyer trakhner mold.

Champion Sporthorse: Citat VS, Eberl Firenze rep. D. Brown
Champion Sporthorse Reserve: Amantus VS, Breyer Trakhner rrh D. Capwell
The stockhorse division was quite small and I only had 2 horses to show. Both of them did okay, placing third and fourth in their classes. The champion was a beautifully painted Lonestar resin with a beautiful ISH as reserve.

Champion Stockhorse: R. Blue Mist Bandit, Lonestar rep. C. Calentine
Champion Stockhorse Reserve: R. Frosted Robin, PS ISH rh F. Cohen

Ponies were up next and I had a bunch to show! My Copperfox Soveregin, Gold Rush and Animal Artistry Welsh, Jax showed in the same class taking second and fifth. Dear old Epsilon took first in his class, as did Remembrance in his. Maverick (Tivoli rep. A. Dionne) didn't have a great day today and placed fourth out of five. Neptune (Sm. G2 WB rr. by me) took third out of three in his class. I was quite surprised but really glad to see that Remembrance was crowned champion and then Epsilon was crowned reserve!

Champion Pony: Remembrance, PS Shoal OF
Champion Pony Reserve: Epsilon, NL New Forest OF
Wild- and Crossbreds were up next and I was having high hopes for my only horse in the championship, Nahele. He didn't disappoint, taking second in his class and then went on to claim the reserve title behind the beautiful mustang who one his class.
Champion Wild- and Crossbreds: Shilah J, Caldero rep. S. Nordström
Champion Wild- and Crossbreds Reserve: Nahele, El Embosco rep. J. Hall
Other Equus was the next to last championship of the day and although a small one it was quite competitive. Winner was a really cool mule with an adorable donkey as reserve.

Champion Other Equus; Destiny's Darling, Jasmine rep. S. Nordström
Champion Other Equus Reserve: Bonnie, Blossom rep. S. Nordström
The last championship of the day was the Riding- and Carriagebreeds. I had 4 horses to show in this championship and they did quite well. My Gabriel resin, painted by me, Raphael took first in his class. Bocelli (Tregoyd Journeyman OF) and Since You Don't Love Me (Sm. G2 ASB rep. A. Gustafsson) both took second in their classes. Ancient Gold (Tr. Akhal-Teke OF) placed last in his class but his competition was tough. In the end the championship title went to the wellmerited El Salvaje, Andalusian stallion with another familiar face, Merrilinn J, knapstup as reserve.

Champion Riding- and Carriage Breeds: El Salvaje, Veroccio rep. L. Lawrynovicz
Champion Riding- and Carriage Breeds Reserve: Merrilinn J, Sm. G2 WB cm A. Zaharenkova

I totally missed taking pictures of the Best In Show winner. But the Best in Show was Citat VS, the champion from the sporthorse championship and Best in Show Reserve was El Salvaje, the Riding- and Carriage Horse Champion.
