Short leave

For the next 2-3 weeks there might not be any new blog posts up on this blog as me and my boyfriend have gotten an apartment and will move in next week. Therefore most of my model horses and model horse related stuff will very soon be packed away and won't be unpacked until we've gotten some kind of order in the apartment.

Good news is that I will be moving my entire collection with me. So as soon as our move is done I'll hopefully be able to blog more, take more photos of my models and actually do more model-related stuff! I also have a few models on their way to me that I'll present as soon as I can and a live show at the end of October that I'll of course give you show reports from :)

See you soon :)

My Second Copperfox

The last package I opened out of the pile was one I had really looked forward to.

My second Copperfox model!

The box contained the same goodies as the last one, with a catalog, COA, info about the mold and such.

I was so excited opening the box, and there he was:

My own, beautiful Sovereign.

His face is beautiful, as is his colour.

His dapples look great.

I love the look of this guy!

And his details are really nice!

I have yet to decide on a name for him but at the moment I thinking something to do with gold. Maybe Gold Rush, Hint of Gold, Glint of Gold or Gold Coin. Suggestions are welcome! :)

Pony Cuteness

The third package I opened out of my pile was a little smaller.

It had a cute thank you note and a little friend that I look forward to painting.

The main content of the package however was this cutie:

This is Mindy Berg's new Magrathea resin. And she is super cute.

And a bit fluffy too. I just adore her face, that's pretty much what sold me on her. I have already sent her away to a painter but it'll take a while before she'll be home again.

Here she is with her tiny friend.

And together with the other unpainted pony I got in the packages.

And lastly, her she is with Summer for size comparison :)

I can't wait to see her painted!

Whiskey Lullaby

The second box I opened out of my pile was a model I bought from a fellow, Swedish collector. I have been wanting this model for quite a while and was really happy to be able to snag him at a good price and in Sweden too (lower postage and no customs fee! Yay!).

He was well wrapped in bubblewrap.

Here he is, the JCP SR Stockhorse from the Western Stockhorse Set. I'm not really a stockhorse person but I quite like the Smart Chic Olena mold and this is probably my favourite on that mold.

He has a really nice expression.

And nice colour too.

I just had to play dress up with the little western tack I have. I think he looks quite smart. I have plans to show him as a quarter horse stallion under the name of Whiskey Lullaby after a sad but beautifully sung song by Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss. You can listen to it below if you want to :)

Nameplate halter

Of course I had to dress up the intended horse in her new nameplate halter. And of course, I have to show you all :)

This is Belize, my Genoveva resin sculpted by Brigitte Eberl and painted by Sophie Nordström. I had a hard time choosing what model I wanted the halter for but in the end I decided on Belize as she is one of my favourites. I only took a few quick pictures so they aren't the best but I just had to see what it looked like on her.

And the books were apparently really appreciated as well. Here is Alexa enjoying the Hunger Games book.

Once again thank you to Kristian of Five Paws Studio for the wonderful and generous giveaway gifts!

Giveaway win

Back in February, fellow blogger Kristian of Five Paws Studio, celebrated 100 000 views on her blog with a giveaway. I've been reading her blog for a while and I love her tack and enjoy the mix of posts with real horses, books and show pictures. So of course I entered the giveaway.

I then forgot about it until the results post came up in my blogfeed. I couldn't believe it, my name had been drawn!

The box arrived a while ago and I just, last week, got the chance to pick it up at my fathers house.

The box was really nicely packaged and I picked things up and opened them as I went along.

I started picking up the two small boxes.

The first one I opened contained the nameplate halter that was the main prize in the giveaway.

I was absolutely blown away by the details! Stitch markings, working tongue buckles, rolled throat lash and of course the tiny nameplate! I have seen a lot of Kristians tack in pictures but this is the first piece I have seen IRL and it is amazing! I absolutely love it.

The next little box contained something that made me really happy as well.

Mini books! I love everything in miniature so these books were a great gift. I want more and then I need a miniature bookshelf to keep them and then I might need a miniature room to keep the shelf in :)

The books have different heights and different thicknesses just as the real things!

I also got these adorable postcards from Chincoteague.

This beautiful card, also from Chincoteague.

I got these cool facsimile prints of Northern States paper money...

...and Confederate currency. These are really cool and I have some fun ideas of what I can do with them.

I also got these two books which I can't wait to start read as they seem to be the type of books I really enjoy.

Last but not least, Kristian included this beautiful castle necklace. It came in a "The Geeky Cauldron" bag with a card from there as well so I draw the conclusion that the necklace came from there. I checked the store out and it had so many awesome things! I might buy some things from them very soon :)

Close up of the necklace.

Even the inside is beautifully decorated and if I wanted to I could put a picture in it.

Thank you so much Kristian for this VERY generous giveaway gift. And thank you for hosting this giveaway!
